Community Consolidated School District 46 is a PK-8 school district located in the northern reaches of Lake County, Illinois; almost half of its schools are based in the village of Grayslake. The consolidated district is composed of seven schools: those seven schools can further be divided into two branches.

District 46 covers a series of neighborhoods in southeastern Brooklyn along Jamaica Bay, including Canarsie, Bergen Beach, Mill Basin, Gerritsen Beach, Georgetown, and parts of Marine Park, Flatlands, and Sheepshead Bay. CLC's primary campus is located in Grayslake and two other campuses exist in nearby Waukegan and Vernon Hills. It is located in the greater Chicago metro area and sits about 46 miles north of the city. In 1967, a referendum passed establishing the CLC community college district and classes began in 1969. [1]
