Digimon Adventure is a Japanese anime television series, the eighth incarnation of the Digimon franchise, and a reboot of the original 1999 anime television series of the same name. The series is animated by Toei Animation. [1] [2] The anime adaptation of the series began airing on Fuji TV in Japan on April 5, 2020.
The series was officially announced in the March issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine in January 2020. [8] The project was developed independently and in the same period of time as the theatrical release of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, by producer Hiroyuki Sakurada and series director Masato Mitsuka, initially together behind Digimon Fusion and Dragon Ball Super.
