In Indonesia, state universities (Indonesian: Perguruan Tinggi Negeri, abbreviated PTN) are funded and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The SBMPTN systems allow graduating high school students to apply for these universities by a standardized examination held yearly.
