Snowmass is a ski resort located in the Town of Snowmass Village near Aspen, Colorado. The ski area is owned and operated by the Aspen Skiing Company as part of the Aspen/Snowmass complex. It was opened on December 17, 1967 . [1] Snowmass is the largest of the four Aspen/Snowmass mountains, comprising 3,362 acres (1,361 ha).
One of a few Colorado ski resorts on the east side of the continental divide, Eldora is eighteen miles (29 km) west of Boulder and about fifty miles (80 km) from downtown Denver. A bus (Route NB), operated by RTD, runs between Boulder and the ski area seven times daily during ski season and serves as easy transportation from town to mountain. [2]
