"Black or White" is a song by American singer Michael Jackson, released by Epic Records on November 11, 1991 as the first single from Jackson's eighth studio album, Dangerous (1991). Jackson wrote, composed, and produced the track with record producer Bill Bottrell , who provides an uncredited guest performance.

The album's ninth single, "Gone Too Soon", did not perform well in the United Kingdom and Jackson's health deteriorated, which eventually led to the cancellation of the album's tenth single, "Dangerous", but the song was released with "Remember the Time" and "Black or White" on the box set Tour Souvenir Pack.
Three songs contain uncredited guest appearances. "Black or White" features L.T.B., "This Time Around" features The Notorious B.I.G., and "2 Bad" features Shaquille O'Neal. Early CD pressings of German, French and Dutch editions of the album contain a special voice message recorded by Jackson to address gratitude towards fans as a hidden track.
