Tigerton is located at (44.740411, -89.058261 [ 12 ] According to the United States Census Bureau , the village has a total area of 1.82 square miles (4.71 km 2 ), of which, 1.79 square miles (4.64 km 2 ) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 km 2 ) is water.
Iowa County was formed in 1829 from the Crawford County land south of the Wisconsin River. [1] Brown County's southern portion was used to form Milwaukee County in 1834. [ 1 ] The state of Wisconsin was created from Wisconsin Territory on May 29, 1848, with 28 counties.

The Tigerton Village Hall and Engine House is a municipal building built in 1906 in Tigerton, Wisconsin. Built with the support of Herman Swanke's Tigerton Lumber Company, it was placed close to that lumber company's mill to protect it from fire. The building also served as a community center, housing both government offices and social functions.
Abrahamson was president of Tigerton, Wisconsin from 1948 to 1964, and was a member of the Shawano County, Wisconsin Board from 1936 to 1939 and from 1956 to 1964. [3] Abrahamson was elected to the State Assembly in 1958 and re-elected in 1960 and 1962. [1] He represented Menominee and Shawano counties. [2]
