Map of Cabuyao. The City of Cabuyao in the province of Laguna, Philippines is subdivided into eighteen (18) urbanized barangays. [1] Six of them are located along the National Highway, six on the lakeshore of Laguna de Bay, the country's largest lake, three Poblacion Barangays which was created under the Presidential Decree No. 86 and three on the western part and elevation portion of the city.
Cabuyao is 45 kilometers (28 mi) away from Santa Cruz, the provincial capital, and 8 kilometers (5.0 mi) from the city center of Calamba, the chartered city and regional center of Calabarzon region. The only lake found in Cabuyao is Laguna de Bay. Barangays situated along the lake are Bigaa, Butong, Marinig, Gulod, Baclaran and Mamatid.

The session hall is located inside the Cabuyao City Hall in Barangay Sala. Each of Cabuyao's ten city councilors were elected at large by the voters of the city. In addition, the barangay chairmen and the SK chairmen throughout the city elect amongst themselves their representatives to the council. Hence, there are 12 councilors.

The current seal which is being used by the City Government of Cabuyao is adapted from the old official seal of the then municipality of Cabuyao which was designed and envisioned by Domingo Alconaba, a native painter of the city. The design was chosen by the then Municipal Government during a seal making competition held in 1993.
