I have a Snark Sunchaser II. Its a great little sloop-rigged cartopper that is extremely easy to sail. The hull is not fiberglass - its a material that CastleCraft (the maker) calls ABS polymer, which CastleCraft says is similar to lexan or royalex. CastleCraft can be reached at 1-888-274-8490 or www.castlecraft.com.

    12. Alcort Minifish Selah, WA. Sep 22, 2011. #1. I have a 1976 Snark built for Sears. The boat is in great shape. I am missing the mast and some rigging instructions. The boom has a fork at the front with a single eye through bolt i presume is for either the downhaul hook on the mainsail or, a location to secure the front of the boom to the mast.

Seafarer 29 Oologah, OK. Oct 29, 2018. #1. I was just reminiscing with some co-workers and told them about my first boat, a KOOL cigarettes Sea Snark from the early 70s - you could send in $88 and the box top from a carton of Kools and get this styrofoam boat delivered 6 to 8 weeks later. My dad smoked Chesterfields but heroically switched to ...

It's the biggest one Snark made I believe. I'll link a video below. Anyways boat is fairly clean with the exception of rub rail. It was caulked in place around perimeter ...

  7. How Did Your Passion For Sailing Begin? - Sailboat Owners Forums

    forums.sailboatowners.com/threads/how-did-your-passion-for...

We'd grab a couple of their Snark sailboats and hustle across the street with them to go sailing, and fishing off the nearby islands. The desire was planted back then, but life and other intrusions kept me from an actual purchase of my own for another 25 years, until I happened on a Craigslist ad for a Snark just a few miles from my house (in ...

  8. Small, easy soloing daysailing sailboat choice?

    forums.sailboatowners.com/threads/small-easy-soloing-day...

I am looking at two small, easy to sail single-handed sailboats to sail on the Hudson, just south of Albany, NY. The Hudson is a tidal river, can have a combined current of 6+ knots when the tide's going out, and the winds can be iffy. The two boats I'm looking at are both Sparkman and Stephens: the Blue Jay and the Mercury sloop (15 footer).

Fred Rose. Aug 11, 2005. #1. I have a little Capri Omega 14, built in 1982. It is an open fiberglass boat from bow to stern. There are bench seats built in along the sides. The bow seat is great for lounging under way and is a favorite with the kids. There is a bow locker that has enough room for day sail provisions.

    forums.sailboatowners.com/threads/how-to-replace...

I was involved raising and lowering the very first centerboard in the 26 and 260 at the factory determining which line to use. Yes I was a dealer and the top dealer selling all lines of the water ballast Hunter sailboats besides my involvement with these boats.
