Farm to Market Road 960 (FM 960) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that stays within Wharton County. The two-lane road starts at Future Business Interstate 69 (Future Bus. I-69)/Business U.S. Route 59-S (Bus 59) northeast of El Campo, goes in a northerly direction through farmlands and ends at FM 102 at Glen Flora.

Plainview is a ghost town in southwestern Wharton County in the U.S. state of Texas. It was located at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 441 (FM 441) and Farm to Market Road 1163 (FM 1163), southwest of El Campo. The community had its own school from as early as 1916 until 1948.
On November 21, 1956, FM 439 was extended 2.6 miles (4.2 km) to FM 2271. On July 16, 1975, FM 439 was extended east to SH 317, replacing a section of FM 2271. On June 21, 1985, the section along 8th Street was given to the city of Killeen. Instead, FM 439 was rerouted west via Rancier Avenue to RM 440 (Fort Hood Street).
