This is a list of television stations in Suriname. There are many television stations in Suriname. Originally, they broadcast analog TV but are currently transitioning to digital television , so some broadcast both digital and analog channels like Apintie , ABC Suriname, STVS and ATV.
Like most Maroon villages in the interior, Langatabiki relied on diesel generators for electricity until 2016. Although the fuel for the generators is provided free of charge by the Surinamese government, there was only enough available to provide electricity for a few hours per day, usually from 6 p.m. until midnight.
Para is a district of northern Suriname. Para's capital city is Onverwacht, with other towns including Paranam, and Zanderij. Para has a population of 24,700 and an area of 5,393 km 2. [1] The district is the mining and forestry centre of Suriname, with many large bauxite mining operations operating.
Centrum is a resort in Suriname, located in the Paramaribo District. Its population at the 2012 census was 20,631. [1] The historical centre of Paramaribo is located within the resort. The city centre is mainly in original condition, contains 291 listed monuments, and has of 2002 been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. [2]

The earlier issues until it gained state autonomy in December 1954, mostly featured the head of the Dutch monarch on them. Suriname gained full independence in November 1975. [1]
