The Indian National Rodeo Finals was created in 1976 by five people who took some regional associations to make one larger association. Indian cowboys and cowgirls competed together in the first finals that year in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah. The association now claims 11 regions throughout the United States and Canada. The ProRodeo Hall of Fame and Museum of the American Cowboy opened up a National Little Britches Rodeo Association exhibit September 20, 2015.
