On July 27, 1958, plans for the then called Santa Rosa Plaza were announced. Developed by Eastern Shopping Centers, Inc. of Yonkers, N. Y., it was to be a shopping center with approximately 160,000 square feet of store space and parking for more than 1000 cars, construction was to start within a month developers at the time said.
