WCAI (90.1 FM) in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, WNAN (91.1 FM) in Nantucket, and WZAI (94.3 FM) in Brewster, are NPR member radio stations serving the Cape Cod and Islands area of southeast Massachusetts. They broadcast primarily news and information programming and are owned by the WGBH Educational Foundation in Boston.
The WCIB call letters stand for Cape and Islands Broadcasting, the original company that signed the station on in August 1970 (not to be confused with WGBH-owned public radio station WCAI, which has the same call sign meaning).
WGBH also operates a separately-programmed service for the Cape Cod and Islands area, with a full-time news-and-information format. This service is simulcast on three stations: WCAI in Woods Hole, WNAN in Nantucket, and WZAI in Brewster. [citation needed] WGBH also owns WCRB, a classical music station.
