The soup store meme is still incredibly popular and widely known even outside anime communities though not everyone knows the source. Tbh, any other quote from Code MENT is more obscure than the soup store.

The original is actually from a code geass abridged series, named “Code Ment”. Despite being so early in the abridged game, it still holds up as one of the funniest of all time. That’s why it’s always kinda bugged me that no one I talk to knows where the soup store meme originated from.
