Paula Lynn Cao Hok (née Obañana; born March 19, 1985) is a Filipino-American badminton player who was originally from Dumaguete, Philippines. [1] [2] In 2015, she won the women's doubles gold medals at the Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada partnered with Eva Lee. [3] In 2016, she competed at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. [4]

Badminton at the 2005 SEA Games was held at the PhilSports Arena (formerly ULTRA Arena) at the Philippine Sports Commission Complex in Pasig, Philippines. Participants competed for 5 gold medals in the individual events and 2 gold medals in the team events.
In 1998, the Philippines women's team failed to qualify again for the Uber Cup. Much like the men's team, the women's team lost 4–1 to Singapore and 3–2 to Australia but won 4–1 against Mauritius. [11] The women's team debuted in the Badminton Asia Team Championships in 2018. They were eliminated in the group stages in 2018 and 2020.
The Badminton Asia Team Championships is a biennial tournament organized by Badminton Asia to crown the best men's and women's national badminton teams in Asia. It started as a standalone event for both men's and women's teams since 2016 and both the team events are conducted simultaneously by Badminton Asia Confederation.
