Monkey D. Luffy (/ ˈ l uː f i / LOO-fee) (Japanese: モンキー・D・ルフィ, Hepburn: Monkī Dī Rufi, [ɾɯꜜɸiː]), also known as "Straw Hat" Luffy, [n 2] is a fictional character and the protagonist in the Japanese manga series One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda.
Luffy, Jimbei, and Rayleigh leave Marineford. Meanwhile, the Five Elders discuss their plans to fill the three remaining Warlord positions with powerful warriors. At the New World, Sengoku resigns from his position. Back at Marineford, Coby decides to get stronger. Meanwhile, Kidd hears of Luffy's recent involvement in Marineford.
The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his crew, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as the "One Piece" in order to become the next King of the Pirates.
The series focuses on Monkey D. Luffy—a young man made of rubber after unintentionally eating the Gum-Gum Fruit—who sets off on a journey from the East Blue Sea to find the deceased King of the Pirates Gol D. Roger's ultimate treasure known as the "One Piece", and take over his prior title.
Luffy is excited that he can try Panz Fry's cooking and Lily reveals she took some food from the Marines and while Zoro notes that's odd given the circumstances, he changes his tone after seeing she took some sake also. As Luffy asks Panz Fry to make some food, Sanji kicks him stating he needs to rest and Chopper says Luffy didn't listen.

Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, and Robin stand near the dead dragon that Zoro killed, with Luffy trying to pull out the man who is stuck in the dragon's back. Luffy succeeds by pulling out only the legs, making everyone think that he killed the man. However, the legs are alive, and they run away trying to look for a Warlord.

[ch. 516, 521] She is also often accompanied by her pet snake Salome. After the most recent Levely, the Seven Warlords were disbanded, making her an enemy of the World Government again.
