Thotawattege Don Manuel Titus de Silva (Sinhala:ටයිටස් තොටවත්ත), popularly as Titus Thotawatte, was a Sri Lankan director and editor who made several popular Sri Lankan action movies in the 1960s and 1970s and later developed Sinhala children's programmes. Thotawatte died on 15 October 2011 in Colombo.
Sri Lanka had no television services available until 1979. The creation of a national television service was planned several times as far back as 1965 (Ceylon at the time), when then-Minister of State J. R. Jayawardene suggested its creation, but was rejected by Dudley Senanayake's government, whose media advisors led by Neville Jayaweera called television "a gift of a rhinoceros".

Kala Keerthi Camillus Perera (1 December 1939 – 17 December 2023) was a Sri Lankan cartoonist. His cartoon characters like Gajaman and Siribiris have been published in various Sinhala newspapers ranging from the Sunday Observer to Sivdesa.
He believes that no criminal can escape from him, however, he manages to catch them mostly with the help of Motu and Patlu. He takes pride in the fact that no criminal can ever get away. Doctor Jhatka: Doctor Jhatka is an eccentric scientist, engineer, a doctor and an inventor, all skills combined together.
