Webb City, Missouri Public Library. Webb City (Webbville) was platted by John C. Webb in September 1875 [5] and incorporated in December 1876, with a population of 700. The city was located on a portion of Webb's 200-acre farm, which he entered in February 1857.
The district encompasses 43 contributing buildings in the central business district of Webb City. It developed between about 1883 and 1965 and includes representative examples of Italianate , Renaissance Revival , Romanesque Revival , Art Deco , and Streamline Moderne style architecture.
