You should look at their med school. Average USMD class size is ~80-150 (a handful with 200-300) and USDO ~200 (a few "mega" schools at 500-800). Ross takes in nearly a thousand and SGU takes in >1600 MD students each year (three starting periods). Only ~950 ever match from SGU (and 30% via SOAP).

Now, I applied to Ross but ended up withdrawing my app after getting into an American school. The tuition competes with OOS schools but it is the cost of living that will make it an expensive school to attend. As far as I know you get enough experience there and the school you go to for clinicals.
Reaction score. 0. Aug 23, 2013. #2. Ross, owned by DeVry, is a very for-profit institution. They bring in a lot of students, and the fail rate is high. It's a very expensive gamble. Of the Carib med schools, SGU and Ross are the best. However, it might be preferable to retake the MCAT or go the DO route.
34. Aug 30, 2014. #1. Hi Guys, I just wanted to share some of my experiences with Ross University. I originally enrolled 7 years ago. As are most of the people looking at foreign med schools, I was not your ideal candidate. My GPA was borderline low and MCAT was not good enough.

Um.. You'll need to score 20 points higher on the Usmle to get into the residency spot you want. For example a US MD/DO will need just to pass the usmle to get into IM around a 180, you'll need a 200. Btw if you fail the Usmle your done, average ross/aua medical school student fails the Uslme around 56% of the time.

Length of match list doesn't tell enough because some schools are smaller than others. SABA is very small while Ross is huge for example. Until they tell you that, match lists are useless.
As Carribean go the biggest/best ones are Saba, Ross, AUC, and St.George. I currently work in a clinic as a scribe/medical assistant. We have 2 medical school graduates who have recently been hired within the last few weeks (doing my position). One went to an American med school in Europe while the other one went to AUC.
