The 2024–25 Liga I, known officially as the SuperLiga, is the 107th season of Liga I, the top football league in Romania. The season will start on 12 July 2024. [ 1 ] The newcomers are Unirea Slobozia who are making their debut in Liga I and Gloria Buzău who returned to Liga I after a 15-year absence.
The Liga I is the highest level in the Romanian football league system and is operated by the Romanian Professional Football League. 16 professional teams compete for the title of Romanian Football Champion in a round-robin home and away, with 30 season matches in the regular season.
