I ended up boxing in the under side of the saw completely and put a 4" port on the bottom that I hooked up to my dust collector and it was a night and day difference. 1. Beginner Woodworking - A place for newbies of the hobby. Been scouring the web and marketplace. Unfortunately I haven’t found any good used saws, nor do I really know what ...

The biggest issue that’s generally associated with it is motor failure. It’s a pretty common issue with the saw, so much so that there is an aftermarket kit available (franks kit) to fix the issue. That said, the total cost of the saw plus the kit ($100) still provides excellent value.

Bought the new Delta 36-725T2 table saw at the end of May. Using on my first project on some cabinets. Started it up under no load (other than the blade itself) and it started smoking. Shut it down and rotated blade manually and it sounds like it is grinding. It's of course under warranty, but Delta is being difficult to deal with.

This 10-in contractor table saw provides the function and flexibility you need on the job. The 15 amp motor generates enough power to rip thick stock or challenging dado, while the cast-iron tabletop offers a sturdy and roomy workspace. The T-Square locking rip fence provides precise cuts that are accurate to 1/64-in, and the steel rails with ...

There is common issue with the Delta's where the start capacitor dies and the saw wont start. Delta seems to be pretty good about covering the repairs but you may have to drive the saw to a service center which may be 100s of miles away. I don't know if the Ridgid saw has the same problem or if Delta has fixed the issue with newer saws.

Is it being discontinued? A lot of people (me included) throw a lot of shade at the Delta 36-725 Table Saw (T1&2), but for those of us that were starting out in this hobby, or a DIYer without a lot of loot, it's a great saw for the price point. I use mine like I stole it and it still (mostly) works and cuts straight (most of the time).

  11. Alternative casters for Delta 36-725T2 Table saw?

32 posts · Joined 2021. #1 · Apr 25, 2021. I just bought this Delta saw and it's a massive upgrade from my 40 year old Craftsman with the home-bodged fence and the goofy electronics. My only complaint so far is that I'm not a fan of the casters on the one side - The single foot-pedal operated wheel on the right is fine, but the two fixed ...
