Beaver Island State Park is a New York state park located on Grand Island in northwestern Erie County, New York in the United States. [4] It is situated at the southern end of the island on the bank of the Niagara River and served by the Beaver Island Parkway, a 2.72-mile (4.38 km) highway linking the park to Interstate 190 (I-190).
Falconwood Subdivision, built in the 1950s and 1960s, was named for the Falconwood Club, which runs from East River Road across the Beaver Island Parkway and extends to Baseline Rd. It is the closest large subdivision to the South Grand Island Bridge. [9]
Grandyle Village is located at (42.99636, -78.95436), on the eastern shore of Grand Island along the Niagara River. Interstate 190 forms the northeastern edge of the CDP, which extends south along the Niagara River as far as Beaver Island State Park. The Beaver Island Parkway forms the main north-south road through the community.
The Beaver Island Retreat was recently named as one of USA Today's Best Glamping Spots of 2024.
It runs from Beaver Island Parkway in the south, north to Park Road in Buckhorn Island State Park near I-190 and NY 324's northern terminus. The speed limit was 55 mph. (NYS Reference Route 957C). The West River Parkway was closed in the fall of 2017 and converted into a bike path and pedestrian trail in 2018. [5] [6]
