Ingham County (/ ˈ ɪ ŋ ə m / ING-əm) is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan.As of the 2020 Census, the population was 284,900. [2] The county seat is Mason. [3] Lansing, the state capital of Michigan, is largely located within the county.
Williams was the Ionia County engineer in charge of the various roads in the county, and that location is "what many consider to be the nation's first roadside table". [ 37 ] [ b ] The first change to the US 16 routing was made in 1933 when the highway was moved to bypass Farmington, with the old routing retained as a state highway.
