Rising in the Lunda plateau, the river forms a deep valley. It is 1,100 kilometres (680 mi) long from its source to its confluence with Congo River, of which 855 kilometres (531 mi) lies in Angola. [1] [2] The river drains a total catchment area of 263,500 square kilometres (101,700 sq mi). Its right bank tributaries are the Wamba and Kwilu rivers.

The Cuvo is a river in central Angola. The river mouth is at the Atlantic Ocean at Benguela Bay, [2] in Cuanza Sul Province. Cuvo is its name in its upper reaches; its lower course is called the Keve or Queve. [3] The river is navigable upstream to Binga Falls near Gabela. Its main tributaries include the Cussoi River.

The Cuando River (or Kwando in the non-colonial spelling) is a river in south-central Africa flowing through Angola and Namibia's Caprivi Strip and into the Linyanti Swamp on the northern border of Botswana.
