Glen Burnie is a historic home located at Winchester, Virginia. It consists of a 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story central section built in two sections about 1794, with flanking two-bay, two-story wings built in 1959. It is a brick dwelling in the Georgian style. [3] Built in 1794 by Robert Wood, son of James and Mary Wood.
Beginning in 1959, and aided by his partner R. Lee Taylor, Glass transformed the house into a country estate, and the couple designed the Glen Burnie Gardens. Map of the route Adventure Cycling Association 's Atlantic Coast Bicycle Route is a 2,615-mile-long (4,208 km) bicycle touring route traversing the East Coast of the United States . The route has two connecting segments, extending nearly the entire length of the nation's eastern margin. [ 1 ]
The trail winds through parks, neighborhoods and natural wooded areas providing scenic views of trees, streams and many historical points. Two of the major stops on the trail are Severna Park at mile 4.8, and Glen Burnie at mile 12.7. The trail also goes by the Marley Station Mall and the Ranger Station. [6]

The TransAmerica Bicycle Trail began as the route for Bikecentennial, a mass bicycle tour across the country to celebrate the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976. The route was developed and mapped in the years preceding the event by volunteers and staff members of the organization Bikecentennial, which changed its name to Adventure Cycling Association in 1993.
