Luigi Malice (born 1937, Naples, Italy) is an Italian abstract artist. Malice studied at Naples Academy of Fine Arts [ 1 ] [ 2 ] as a pupil of Emilio Notte , later studying under avant-garde and Informal Art [ 3 ] painter Domenico Spinosa .

After almost a year of inactivity, Malice Mizer recruited Gackt as their new vocalist and released the single "Uruwashiki Kamen no Shoutaijou" on December 10, 1995. With a new concept, the band's music became more art rock and synthpop , incorporating even stronger classical and electronic elements.
Hugo & Luigi were also onetime co-owners of Roulette Records. Songs composed by the duo were often credited to "Mark Markwell", and records they produced carried their distinct logo. While at Roulette Hugo and Luigi did a series of Beautiful Music recordings of "Cascading Voices" and later "Cascading Strings."
Mana founded the independent record label Midi:Nette in 1994 for the release of Malice Mizer's debut album, Memoire. [3] [5] In addition to most of Malice Mizer's work, [6] and most of Moi dix Mois' work, Midi:Nette has also released music by the electronic visual kei duo Schwarz Stein. Signed to the label in 2002, Mana also produced for them.
The label was named simply Avco Records when the 'Embassy' part was dropped in 1971. In 1976, with Avco deciding to exit the record business, Hugo & Luigi bought out the label & renamed it to H&L Records. In 1978, H&L Records filed for bankruptcy, soon after opening their own new studios in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
