Franklin Lakes is a borough in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 11,079, [10] [11] an increase of 489 (+4.6%) from the 2010 census count of 10,590, [20] [21] which in turn reflected an increase of 168 (+1.6%) from the 10,422 counted in the 2000 census. Route 208 is a state highway in the northern part of New Jersey in the United States. It runs 10.07 miles (16.21 km) from an interchange with Route 4 and County Route 79 (CR 79, Saddle River Road) in Fair Lawn northwest to an interchange with Interstate 287 (I-287) at the Franklin Lakes–Oakland borough line.
The route continues into Franklin Lakes and runs through residential areas as Franklin Lake Road, intersecting CR 117 before turning east near Franklin Lake and reaching a traffic circle at CR 89. Upon reaching the CR 97 (Ewing Avenue) intersection, CR 502 turns north onto Ewing Avenue, with CR 93 continuing east on Franklin Lake Road.

Campgaw Mountain extends for three miles approximately north to south along the border of Franklin Lakes, Oakland, and Mahwah. The peak of the mountain rises to 752 feet (229 meters) [1] in Mahwah, becoming the fourth highest peak of Watchungs, though the height of the mountain as measured from its base is generally less than 400 feet (120 meters).
