    I was also wondering about this too. Presumably the 4 nominal 1 hour episodes were re-edited to 3 nominal 1.5 hour episodes with extra time available for commercials, but it's possible PBS ran the first two episodes as a single feature length presentation, The PBS website doesn't seem to have any info.
