According to Sellier & Bellot ammunition development engineer, they produce a .308 Winchester “Snipper” round with higher velocity and pressure using the same projectile as compared to my loads. This round uses their 5,3 LR-SE primer. The 5,3 LR-SE is designed to stand up to the higher pressure loads.
Zak, in post 13 you need to source this chart. i'd like to look it up. If I missed it please excuse. And, not that it makes a difference, but what is the wind velocity for the wind drift table? Bmac

I'm in the process of deciding which rifle to purchase. I'm looking for a multi-use hunting rifle, and I would like to use it for blacktail, whitetail, and mule deer. (I may possibly get a chance to hunt elk). Is .308 powerfull enough for elk? If I go with the 30-06, is it too much for...

This is regarding the new AR-15 round... Ok, I've seen more flamebait threads on THR in the past three weeks than I've seen in the past year, so I guess it's my turn to contribute.... What's the point of the 6.5 Grendal (or whatever they're calling it this week) if you can still only have...
Recently I shot my .308 AR10 with Rainier Amrs ultra match grade 20" barrel and BCG. I was shooting 174 grain hollow point folktales and with my scope zeroed at a hundred yards I was hitting about six inches low at 200 yards. From several other ballistic calculator stand for on the most people...
Alright guys, I have about $900 to spend on a .308 bolt action rifle and optics (looking at variable 6-20x, but I'm not very knowledgeable in the optics department). I will be reloading. In your opinions, what is the best combination of rifle + optics I can buy for this price? I plan on...
