Reduced-fare Pronto cards are available for eligible passengers. The reduced-fare status of the card is stored in the central database, and passengers who are eligible for reduced or free fares are able to convert their standard Pronto card to a reduced-fare card by completing an application online or in person at select locations. In order to provide a smooth, offline payment option for all NCMC-enabled transit projects, such as metro rails, buses, ferries, tolls, and parking throughout India, the State Bank of India released the MTS RuPay NCMC prepaid card on August 30, 2024. Travelers can now easily make payments, even in places with spotty internet access.
Pre-loaded SmartLink cards with 10 trips are available at all stations for $31.00 (10 trips at $2.60 each, plus a $5.00 card fee). However, MetroCard Vending Machines (MVMs) at all PATH stations are able to refill the SmartLink cards to a monetary amount equal to 1, 2, 4, 10, 20 and 40 trips as well as the daily or 30 day unlimited passes.
Mobile Myki is a virtual Myki card on an Android phone using Google Wallet. Stored value and fares calculation works in the same way as a normal Myki, and the phone is held against a Myki reader to touch on or off. Note: Mobile Myki cards need to be registered in the same process as regular Myki Cards and are not automatically linked to the user.
Initially, the cards can be purchased only from Metro Stations, Bus Terminals and some Bus Stop ticket machines. These prepaid cards can be "topped-up" online, at ticket machines, or at ticketing offices by credit, debit card or cash. The card is designed to reduce the number of transactions at ticket offices and the number of paper tickets.
The Copper Card and the Valley Metro mobile app are accepted on Valley Metro Rail, Valley Metro Bus, and Tempe Streetcar services. The Copper Card replaces Valley Metro's paper passes and tickets. Daily, weekly, and monthly passes are available with fare capping , which automatically credits the cost of individual trips towards a pass.
The cards may be "recharged" in person from ticket vending machines in Metro Rail stations, TAP Vendors, at Metro Customer Service Centers or online. The card is designed to reduce the number of transactions at Customer Service Centers. The physical card costs $2 and is only available with a fare media product (such as a day pass or stored value).
