I deleted old Windows print to pdf after: Print to pdf appears to work it says its doing it but never puts anything in the file folder I save it to. I found some solved this with resetting permissions on the Temp files especially if moved. I went through all the command prompts and got the end result as specified. No Joy.
Where or how can I download the Microsoft print to PDF application? I can't locate it on the MS web site. Thanks, Bob

While I have nothing against Microsoft's Print-to-PDF, I do wonder why someone would choose it over a real PDF reader, since these include a PDF printer. Foxit Reader is one example. In addition to installing a PDF printer, PDF readers are free, easy to use, and they can handle all but the most advanced tasks involving PDF documents.
I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. I noticed on my printing device, the option for "Microsoft Print to PDF" no longer exist. I used to have this option when I was using Windows 8. I have tried
Select Ok. Now you will see the Windows features box. Next scroll down to Microsoft Print to pdf and check it. If the feature is checked, please uncheck it, select the ok button. But the ARCH A, B, C or D extended sizes do not show up. How do I print to PDF using ARCH D size? I don't even see a custom option where I could enter the 24" x 36" settings. I'm also not crazy about adding another 3rd party PDF printing software due to the security issues of adding another bloated program.
I have also done Ctrl + R and types optionalfeatures where another guide said to check the box for Microsoft print to pdf but this option doesn't even show. I have uninstalled Adobe Reader and re-installed and have restarted my system to see if it shows the printer on the list again.. it doesn't. How can I get this added again? Kind regards, Danny
Scroll down and select Microsoft under Manufacturer then scroll down and select Microsoft Print to PDF under Printers then click Next Give the printer a name or leave the default, click Next . It should now appear as an available printer.
