Radiotelevizija Slovenija (English: Radio-Television of Slovenia) – usually abbreviated to RTV Slovenija (or simply RTV within Slovenia) – is Slovenia's national public broadcasting organization. Based in Ljubljana , it has regional broadcasting centres in Koper and Maribor and correspondents around Slovenia, Europe, and the world.
The first TV station in Slovenia was JRT TV Ljubljana 1 (now RTV Slovenija - TV Slovenija 1) in 1958. In 1970 JRT TV Ljubljana 2 (now TV Slovenija 2) was launched and TV Slovenija 3 in 2008. Color television broadcasts began in 1976.
Šport TV (English: Sport TV) is Slovenia's first sport-only television channel. Based in the country's capital, Ljubljana. Television was launched on October 14, 2006. Miro Ćorić is editor-in-chief, Marko Bogovac is general manager.
Between 2018–19 and 2020–21, the league was broadcast jointly by Planet TV and RTV Slovenija. [ 45 ] [ 46 ] With the start of the 2019–20 season, one match per week is also broadcast on local Sportklub channels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. [ 47 ]
Sportklub, formerly rendered as Sport Klub, is a subscription sports television service which has been broadcast in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia since 2006, Croatia from 2007 and in North Macedonia from 2011. A different version of the channel has also been available in Poland since 2006.

The 2019–20 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 29th edition of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its establishment in 1991. The season began on 13 July 2019 and was scheduled to end on 15 May 2020. [2]
