The 1972–73 daytime network television schedule for the three major English-language commercial broadcast networks in the United States covers the weekday and weekend daytime hours from September 1972 to August 1973. All times are Eastern and Pacific.
Stations in the Mountain time zone that started their network schedule at 8:00 AM would follow the Central and Pacific pattern that year. Some network programs, particularly before 7:00 AM and after 10:00/9:00 AM, were subject to preemption by local affiliate stations in favor of syndicated or locally produced programs.
CBS stations who utilize this option include network-owned WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, and affiliates KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, KPIX-TV in San Francisco, KMOV in St. Louis, and KIRO-TV in Seattle. Some CBS affiliates air The Bold and the Beautiful at different times other than 1:30/12:30 pm (e.g. KIRO-TV in Seattle, which airs the show at 2:00 pm).
