CBA is a Hungarian supermarket chain with almost 5,200 stores. It operates in Bulgaria, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia. [1] There were 134 stores in Hungary in February 2018. Most CBA stores have grill bars, bakeries, butcher's and wine shops.

In 2000, the Match and Smatch brands were introduced to the Hungarian retail market. During 2004, the Smatch brand was rebranded as Match supermarkets. In 2012 local retailers CBA and Coop bought most Match supermarkets, which were rebranded as CBA Supermarkets in Budapest, and rebranded as Coop in other towns. [20]

In November 2012, Louis Delhaize Group sold Match and Profi chains in Hungary. From a total of 178 supermarkets, of which 73 Profi discount supermarkets, most of them was sold to local retailers, 62 to Coop and 48 to CBA, [4] and other 6 to Penny Market, 4 to Aldi, 2 to Pepco and 1 to Spar.
