Better Man is a 2024 biographical musical film co-written, produced and directed by Michael Gracey about the life of English singer Robbie Williams. Williams is portrayed as an anthropomorphic chimpanzee with computer-generated imagery (CGI), performed by Jonno Davies using motion capture , and voiced by both Williams and Davies.
Better Man is based on the true story of Van Tuong Nguyen, a 25-year-old Vietnamese-Australian man who was arrested in Singapore, convicted of drug trafficking, sentenced to death in 2004, and subsequently hanged in 2005. The series follows the story of a young man who had a tough but loving upbringing with his twin brother and devoted mother.
He has also starred in the streaming television series Gypsy (2017), and The Morning Show (2019–present), which earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Critics' Choice Television Awards, [2] and Hello Tomorrow! (2023). In June 2023, he married British actress Naomi Watts. [3]
