Here Comes the Boom is a 2012 American sports comedy film directed by Frank Coraci, written by Allan Loeb and Kevin James, and produced by James and Todd Garner. It stars James as a biology teacher who attempts to save his school's music program by becoming an MMA fighter. The film co-stars Henry Winkler, Salma Hayek, and Joe Rogan.
The music video for "Boom" was recorded in the first quarter of 2002 and directed by Gavin Bowden, debuting in May with heavy rotation on MTV2 and MMUSA.It is an unusual video for P.O.D. in its obvious sense of humor; "Boom" revolves around a table tennis (aka: Ping Pong) tournament between the band, dressed in orange jumpsuits, and a Swedish team played by fellow Christian metal group Blindside.
It was also featured in the 2012 Kevin James film Here Comes the Boom as James's character's entrance song in mixed martial arts (MMA). The song was also featured in the 2017 TV series Mr. Mercedes Season 3, episode 4. The song was used in Mike Flanagan's 2021 Netflix miniseries Midnight Mass during a montage in the third episode.

[17] He then landed a major role in the movie Tapped Out (2014). [18] He starred as Alpha in the 2016 Daylight's End. Soszynski had a role in the 2017 movie Logan.

On October 8, 2012, Miller appeared on Ariel Helwani's internet talk show the MMA Hour to promote his upcoming film Here Comes the Boom. Miller gave the interview "in character" as Lucky Patrick, his role from the film, and became upset when Helwani asked him to instead give the interview as Jason Miller.
