Yannick Gingras (born August 4, 1979) is a Canadian harness racing driver. [1] He is statistically one of the top drivers of all time with more than 8,000 wins and $230 million in earnings. He was inducted into the Harness Racing Hall of Fame in 2022. [2] Gingras has won 24 Breeders Crown trophies, the sixth-most in history.
Lloyd Duffy (born December 8, 1944) is a Canadian retired Champion jockey in Thoroughbred flat horse racing who uniquely is also a licensed driver of harness racing horses. As a teenager, Duff began attending harness racing events at a racetrack near his home.
Bulldog Hanover (foaled May 21, 2018) is a retired champion Canadian Standardbred racehorse who is known for becoming the first harness horse to complete a mile in under 1:46. [1] He was also the first horse to be unanimously selected as the Dan Patch Horse of the Year . [ 2 ]
He got involved with racing after a group of friends from a local factory pitched in to claim a $1,500 horse. [2] He later quit working at the factory to pursue horse training full-time. [ 2 ] [ 1 ] He ranked as one of the top conditioners in the Ontario Jockey Club in the 1980s and his success continued into the 1990s.
