Yes, the Army/Navy surplus smell does remind me of my childhood. I also have a set of surplus winter shooting gloves from the 1960s that I sometimes take out of my range bag to just smell them. Posted: 1/26/2023 8:46:21 PM EDT. [#24] Quote History.
So if there are legitimate surplus ACOGs on the market now, I don’t know that calling would delineate whether they’re surplus or stolen, only that it was bought by the DoD. Agree if there are surplus units available it would be up to the DOD to show it was stolen and not sold as surplus and that's not going to happen.

CDNN charges $9.99 flat rate, DS Arms charges $10 (I tried to order a $75 BCG from them and it was $10 shipping). JSEs uppers are so afforable that I can't complain about their shipping. View All Quotes. $10 flat rate I can live with and is cheap if you are buying a lot. JSE's $12.50 is the cheapest option!

If additional venting is needed, consider not using the front zipper, and using the auxiliary front flap closures instead of using the zipper. IMHO, most people might be better served with a properly-fitting Gen 2 version. It is bulkier/noisier, heavier than Gen 3, but has better venting, more features, and is much stouter.
Quoted: I used to love strolling into Academy during their sales and stuffing a cart full of on-sale 9mm at $2.99 a box. The ones around me, still have fair prices. I play their sales and seasonal close-outs and pick up some really good deals from time to time. A "deal" at the local ones is Blazer 9mm at $15.99/50.
Suppressor. The MK13 Mod 5 is one of a few variants of the MK13 that uses (or in SOCOM’s case, re-uses) the Knight’s Armament MK11/SR25 Suppressor. While primarily issued with the Knight’s Armament MK11 (which is a semi-automatic sniper system), the MK11 suppressor is also one of the most recognizable features of the MK13 Mod 5.
Lately at shows, I only see a few here and there, and people are asking $15-$20 for well-used mags. Quite often they’re Center Industries mags, the least desirable brand, since people have long since picked out the Okay / Colt mags. View Quote. I talked to a dude who was an armorer in army around the changeover period.
