(C 6 H 5) 3 CCl + 2 Na → (C 6 H 5) 3 CNa + NaCl. The use of tritylsodium as a strong, non-nucleophilic base has been eclipsed by the popularization of butyllithium and related strong bases. The unmodified anion is red, and can be used as an indicator in acid–base titrations. Derived substances have proven useful as chemical dyes.
The boiling point of 89.7 °C is 0.3 °C higher than the value of 89.4 °C predicted by Wiener's formula, based on the structure of the molecule and the boiling point of n-heptane. [2] [3] The speed of sound at 3 MHz is 1149.5 m/s at 20 °C and 889.5 m/s at 80 °C. [7] [8] [9]
However there are numerous exceptions; for example the lightest exception is chromium, which would be predicted to have the configuration 1s 2 2s 2 2p 6 3s 2 3p 6 3d 4 4s 2, written as [Ar] 3d 4 4s 2, but whose actual configuration given in the table below is [Ar] 3d 5 4s 1.

2,2-Dimethylpentane can form a clathrate hydrate with helper gas molecules. The type of clathrate formed is called "clathrate H". 2,2-Dimethylpentane was the first compound for which the structure was determined. The clathrate has 34 molecules of water per molecule, and also has xenon and hydrogen sulfide as helper molecules.
N,O-Dimethyl-4β-(2-naphthyl)piperidine-3β-carboxylate (DMNPC) is a piperidine based stimulant drug which is synthesised from arecoline. It is similar to nocaine in chemical structure, and has two and a half times more activity than cocaine as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor .
The 3 substrates of this enzyme are dodecanoyl-CoA, H 2 O, and 2-oxoglutarate, whereas its two products are (3S,4S)-3-hydroxytetradecane-1,3,4-tricarboxylate and CoA. This enzyme belongs to the family of transferases, specifically those acyltransferases that convert acyl groups into alkyl groups on transfer. The systematic name of this enzyme ...
