Tippecanoe River is a state park in Pulaski County, Indiana, United States.It is located 58 miles (93 km) south-southwest of South Bend, Indiana.It was formed in 1943 when the National Park Service gifted the land to Indiana's Department of Conservation land to form a state park; other land along the river becoming the Winamac Fish and Wildlife Area.
The park adjacent to the campground offers a free public boat launch into the river and a managed fishing pond. All manners of water craft can be found on the river, including motorboats, jet skis, canoes and kayaks. Large sandbars along the riverbanks are popular gathering places for boaters to swim and sunbath.
There are three separate camping areas at Mohican State Park: the Class A Campground, the Class B Campground, and the Group Camp Area. Several types of cabins are located near the Class A Campground. [6] There is also the Mohican Resort and Conference Center, built in 1974 and operated by Xanterra Parks and Resorts. [7]

Scattered throughout the park are seven backpacking campsites and four canoe campsites along the St. Croix River. The park has six camping cabins which include bunkbeds, a table, and benches. The park also operates a rental guesthouse featuring two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a full kitchen. [5] The park boasts 35 miles (56 km) of hiking trails.
The Chippewa Campground, offers 105 sites with Class B electric and C facilities. Reservations are taken for Kankakee River Class A, B, and C campgrounds.
