Romania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song "Playing with Fire" written by Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu.The song was performed by Paula Seling and Ovi. The Romanian broadcaster Televiziunea Română (TVR) organised the national final Selecția Națională 2010 in order to select the Romanian entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway.
Commercially, the track charted within the top 30 in Norway and Sweden after the contest. Its promotion consisted of various live performances and endeavours, [1] as well as the release of an accompanying music video on 6 April 2010 on YouTube. Filmed in Romania and Austria, it was shot by Mihnea De Vries and executive produced by Eduard Schneider.
An accompanying music video was filmed at the MediaPro Studios in Buftea, Romania by Alex Ceaușu and uploaded onto the official YouTube channel of the Eurovision Song Contest on 28 April 2014. It portrays the duo and background dancers performing to the song in a flooded cabin, which eventually "comes to life" with grass and trees. [ 1 ]
