On Dec 21, 2010, Fire-King Japan or Fire-King Japan Co., Ltd. was founded in Japan to revive Fire-King milk glass. [2] Officially opening to the public in 2011 in Tokyo, Japan, the company sells a variety of mugs and other dishes in various colors such as milk glass, jade-ite, and rose-ite. [3] Their current CEO is Naoyuki Koike.
The "Jadeite Fire King" brand was first produced by the United States glassware firm Anchor Hocking in the 1940s. Most of Anchor Hocking's output of Jadeite was between 1945 and 1975. [1] A durable product in a fashionable color, it became the most popular product made by Anchor Hocking. [2]

On 2 October 2013, Burger King announced on Twitter that it was changing its name to Fries King. The name change was a publicity stunt held in conjunction with the introduction of the new Satisfries. The chain also rebranded one of its locations with the new Fries King logo, signage and packaging.
