Barbados National Archives are the national archives of Barbados. It is located in the northern Black Rock, St. Michael close to the University of the West Indies campus adjacent to the Usain Bolt Sports Complex. The collection includes manuscripts, letters, reports, books, maps, charts and photographs. [1]

Westbury Cemetery is a public cemetery in Bridgetown, Saint Michael parish, Barbados.It is administered by the Bridgetown City Council. Records date to 1877. It is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery and within it are the remains of nine veterans of World War I or World War II. [1]

On 19 October 1746 at St James Church, Barbados, he married Cristen Dottin, fourth daughter of Anne Jordan Dottin and Joseph Dottin, with whom he had a son. [2] After her death in 1782, Alleyne remarried his forty years younger cousin Jane, daughter of Abel Alleyne, on 29 June 1786. [2] With her, he had five daughters and two more sons. [2]
Barbados has a number of plantations and great house properties that were instrumental in the islands' booming sugar trade. Families often owned several plantations and the acreage of each often changed when owners bought and/or sold plots of nearby land. The sizes quoted here had been recorded as of 1915.
