Atok (), officially the Municipality of Atok, (Ilocano: Ili ti Atok; Tagalog: Bayan ng Atok), is a municipality in the province of Benguet, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 19,218 people.
The point is situated at the kilometer 53 mark of Halsema Highway and has a view deck where the towns of Atok, Tublay, Bokod and Kabayan as well as Mount Pulag is visible. It is also known as Philippine Pali due to the resemblance of its vicinity to Pali of Hawaii. [2]
Its highest point is at 2,255.52 metres (7,400.0 ft) above sea level in the municipality of Atok. [4] It was officially recognized as the highest altitude highway in the Philippines until 2019, [5] when the 2,429 metres (7,969 ft) high point Kiangan–Tinoc–Buguias Road in Tinoc, Ifugao, was recognized as the new holder of the distinction.
