According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.82 square miles (9.89 km 2), of which 3.80 square miles (9.84 km 2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km 2) is water. [5] The affluent village is the home of the scenic Beechmont Country Club golf course, and of the 63-acre Orange Village Park.

In 1924 the Orange Schools were consolidated from the individually operated Orange Township public schools. That year, the Foreman family donated the first 10 acres (40,000 m 2) of property to ultimately comprise a 172-acre (0.70 km 2) school district campus and the first Orange Schools building was opened on the current site of the high school.
The Township is serviced by the full-time Orange Township Fire Department. There is no police department, but policing services are offered by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office. Services, such as snow removal, street maintenance and signage are offered with the Orange Township service department.
