Draper, Kimberly Saunders, Martin "Marty" Draper and Matthew "Matteo" Draper was awarded the key to the city of Corona for being recognized in the 2011 Guinness Book of World Records as the World's Tallest Cat, measuring 45.9 centimeters (18.1 inches) from shoulder to toe.
The Savannah is a breed of hybrid cat developed in the late 20th century from crossing a serval (Leptailurus serval) with a domestic cat (Felis catus). [1] [2] This hybridization typically produces large and lean offspring, with the serval's characteristic large ears and markedly brown-spotted coats.
The Savannah was bred from a serval and the domestic Siamese cat. The first kitten was named, Savannah and was born in 1986. Although, the breed was not officially recognized until 2001.
As of 2023, The International Cat Association (TICA) recognizes 73 standardized breeds, [1] the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) recognizes 45, [2] the Fédération Internationale Féline (FIFe) recognizes 50, [3] the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) recognizes 45, [4] and the World Cat Federation (WCF) recognizes 69.
