Television in Moldova was introduced in 1958. From 2022 it became illegal to retransmit television and radio programmes with informative, analytical, military, or political content, produced in states that have not ratified the European Convention regulation on cross-border television.

The channel started broadcasting on 1 December 1998 as PRO TV Moldova, the station emulated its Romanian parent's aesthetic of westernizing society. [1] It gained its current name on 3 September 1999, when the Moldovan edition of Știrile Pro TV premiered. [2] A dedicated website was set up by Prodigital in 2007. [3]
