Lemon Popsicle (Hebrew: אסקימו לימון, romanized: Eskimo Limon) is a 1978 teen comedy-drama film co-written and directed by Boaz Davidson. It s the most commercially successful Israeli film of all time, which has led to the production of a series of sequels. [1] The cult film follows a group of three teenage boys in early-1960s Tel Aviv.
The film was released by Guild Home Video on LaserDisc with a digital stereo soundtrack in 1984. MGM Home Entertainment released the film on DVD in 2003. [ 21 ] Arrow Films released a Blu-ray and DVD combination edition in the United Kingdom in 2013, [ 22 ] followed by a North American Blu-ray released in 2015 by Olive Films. [ 23 ]

From contemporary reviews, Martyn Auty of The Monthly Film Bulletin declared that the film was "More offensive than its predecessor Lemon Popsicle" as it took "the opportunity to abuse women in both script and shooting with a sexism unknown to routine soft-porn. The same misogyny extends to the portrait of Benji's 'typical' Jewish mother."
