Thats it. Windows 10 was shitty at launch too, in 2 years they fixed a lot of issues and everyone just started recommending it, its been more than 2 years since Win11 launch and its still kinda 'meh'. Install Windows 10 for now, Upgrade to 11 when 10 loses support in Oct, 2025.
joao122003. • 2 yr. ago. If you have 12th gen and 13th gen Intel CPUs (especially i5 12600 or up and i5 13400 or up respectively), upgrading to Windows 11 will have massive improvement on performance. Otherwise, it's up on personal preference, the difference is only visual and UI features. Windows 10 is still supported until October 2025. 2.
If you don't care about those 2, your question will be invalid. 11. Newer hardware is optimized for Windows 11 and will give you better performance than Windows 10, so this really comes down to the specs of your machine. It really doesn't matter, on 11 you might lose like <2% of performance in the real world.
Idk if this works on a laptop but if you go to Settings -> Display -> Graphics -> "Change default graphics settings" -> then turn off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, it might help. Some people with nvidia cards on desktop say it helps them. Some says it made things worse depending on the game.
No piracy or so-called "grey-market" software keys. This is includes suggesting, hinting, or in any way implying to someone that piracy or the use of these licenses is an option. If a key is abnormally cheap (think $10-30), it is probably one of these, and is forbidden on r/buildapc. 169 votes, 310 comments.
Windows 11 is stable, and has better gaming performance from what I found. However, Microsoft tries to force you into making an account so they can collect your data. Forced updates and Windows Defender seems worse in 11 than it did in 10, my laptop fan goes full blast when Windows first loads up and my system is bogged down despite having no ...
Literally no reason to upgrade if not desired. Win 7, 8, and Vista are just now being phased out. So it's not like you can't use W10 for a long time, and by the point it's phased out something better or completely new will be out anyway. And if not, then we just gotta upgrade to whatever is accessible and move on.
A little concern of mine is gaming performance. I have heard that Windows 10 still is better for higher FPS than 11 but at the same time heard Windows 11 is way better now throughout updates. If it’s like a 3% decrease in performance, I won’t really mind. Also, the modern UI is why I kinda want to stay on 11. It’s just a nice look for the ...
If you have an AMD cpu, it has been big time buggy with Windows 11 and 22H2 introduced more issues. Over all I like the look of 11 better, but 10 just feels faster and is more mature. 10 is supported for another 3 years. Lastly on Steam's monthly hardware survey, Windows 11 actually dropped over 2% as gamers started going to back to 10.
Use Windows 10 until the end of support (October 2025) this is the way. Windows 10 is lighter but Windows 11 is superior on CPUs with a lot of cores as it has better scheduling. So it can depend on your setup, but you could also debloat your Windows 11 to similar levels of Windows 10 and get the best of both worlds.
