History. The National University of Modern Languages was established as an institute of modern languages in 1969. Initially, the institute provided language training facilities to the Armed Forced personnel and other government servants. In May 2000, its status was upgraded from an institution to a federal charter University.
The institute was established in Lahore in 1986 as the Canadian School of Management - Lahore Learning Center.
